Welcome to Taste That! by Tania.

 

Hello I'm Tania. My story is not typical of most 'cakers'.

Unlike them, I did not have a passion for baking. In fact I never entered the kitchen.

My passion was in management, customer service and running businesses.

I was devoted to this for 26 years.

 

Then I married and had a child... actually 2. Life as I knew it was never to be the same!

Let’s go back 6 years. I announced to the family that I was going to make my son’s birthday cake.

My son stopped drawing and looked at me - “You are?”   “Really?” came from my husband.

To say I was brought to tears from the amount of love I was feeling is a lie!

All jokes aside, my husband was very supportive (once he got over the shock),

and still is to this day.

I made the cake, a green snake (chocolate ripple style), with smarties all over it!

I realised I loved decorating and the look of excitement in my sons eyes when he saw the cake.

That was it. I was hooked! This was what I was meant to do.

I continued to make cakes for family and friends attended a couple of workshops and watched ALOT of YouTube clips.

Fast forward to 2019 and Taste That! by Tania was born.
